October 9th...

...is a mighty special day for most of us here. :)

As you all probably already know, it's
JOHN LENNON'S
71st birthday today!!!
Happy birthday, Johnny!

Yes, he seems excited too ;)
There are many things happening today.
1) It is also Sean Lennon's birthday!

Born on the 35th birthday of his father...what a nice present for John, hm?
2) Yoko will be in Reykjavik, Iceland to light the IMAGINE PEACE TOWER in memory of John. If you click on the link, you can even watch the relighting at a free live feed!

3) I have heard from various sources (*ahem* Twitter *ahem*) that Paul McCartney and Nancy Shevell are getting married today!
On Johnny's birthday!
Now what do you think of that? I sort of have mixed emotions about this. First, I think that Paul chose this date to honor and commemorate his best friend and that itself is so sweet of him to do so. Second,
PAUL MCCARTNEY
IS GETTING MARRIED
TO ANOTHER GIRL
BESIDES ME.

FACT: Each of the Beatles have been married twice...until now, with Paul who is about to marry his third wife.

*******************

Overall, today is mostly a day of remembering John and all the amazing, life-changing things he has given us. Without him, the Beatles would never have been so, and I think that my life would be a complete ruin right now if it wasn't for him. He has taught me so much and I'm crying as I type this and I miss him, even if he died fifteen years before I was even born. I am so grateful for everything he has done for this world.
We love and miss you John :') So very much.
Say hi to George and Freddie for us :)

John: "Watch this." Paul: "Oh yeah?!"

In the album Rubber Soul, John creates one of his best songs in his lifetime, "In My Life". It's a sweet song tribute to his loved ones, both "dead" and "living".

In my opinion, it's one of the greates songs of ALL TIME.
Rolling Stone magazine apparently agrees with me. This song is ranked 23rd in "The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time".
John is a beast!! :D
BUT...
Paul isn't going down without a fight.
In the next album, Revolver, Paul writes "Here, There and Everywhere". It almost has the same concept, it being a romantic love song and everything.

When I first saw this 'connection', I thought that Paul wrote this because he wanted to defeat (or at least be even with) John in the love song-writing category. xD Well, you know Paul...always has to be the best at everything... :)

So what do you think is the REAL reason Paul wrote "Here, There and Everywhere"? xD

Words of LOVE

Oh. Em. Gee.
The Beatles LOVE show was
SUPERAWESOMATASTICAFABULOUMAZING!!!
It's very hard to describe the experience I had during the show without exploding with squeals and hand-flapping. Sitting there with the Beatles' music in surround sound, I was just in awe of how truly gifted and inspiring they were...and still are. I wish I could have taken each and every one of you to see it with me...it was SO AMAZING!!!

Pictures weren't allowed in the show, but I was prepared to be a rebel and take some anyway.
BUT...
right beside us was a guard (in his sergeant looking uniform, hehe) so my rebeliousness was not to be.

Here is probably the part you've been waiting for:
Picture time!

There it is!!!

This was the day before we actually watched the show. We couldn't wait so we went ahead to The Mirage (it was in walking distance from our hotel) to check out the gift shop, the LOVE Boutique.

The Mirage - the hotel where all the lovin' happens

The picture below - this is the first thing you see when you walk in!

Here, we're inside the hotel, and now (below) right in front of the entrance to heaven.

*insert angel choir singing "Ahhhhh" here*

Here's the hallway:
Er, WALKway more like it.

So trippy!!

To the right is the gift shop.
To the left, you can see one of the security officers in his red 'uniform'. ;D
To the far middle, there is a lighted wall with the Beatle's jumping shadows on it that changes colors! (I think I remember the whole hallway glowing brightly in different colors every few seconds!)

Above is inside the boutique. That's only one side of it...there's more. ;)

Want this on your wall? Then click here!

The place was FULL of Beatles merchandise and paraphernalia. They sold everything Beatles related from their albums, posters, shirts, and even a picture explaining how they drew the Beatles cartoons! (Signed by Peter Sander, the mind behind the 33 episodes of laughter and horrible voice actors - priced at $549.)

Below is a picture of another surprising element in the store...
Paul McCartney's original Hofner Bass signed by all 4 members of the Fab Four!!!

At least that's what it said on the little sidenote at the bottom of the glass framed guitar.
Anyways, here's another thing you see in the gift shop!

Yup, more shirts!!!
Just kidding, I was talking about the Blue Meanie.
^_^

Speaking of shirts, here's the one that my brother bought!
Four names...but it says a lot.
I'm planning to steal it from him sometime in the future. Just sayin'.

Alright, about the show now!!! Here it is...

...the stairway to heaven.

I really don't want to mention too many details about the show because I want YOU to be as surprised and excited as I was when I first saw it. The less you know, the better your first-time experience will be. ;)

But I can surely guarantee you one thing though; throughout the whole spectacle, you will be AMAZED and kept at the edge of your seat! Many people laughed along with the performers, and you can even hear them sing along (especially to Hey Jude, of course, hehe!). There are speakers at the back of your head on the chair and a long speaker runs the length of your row in front of you. Now that's what you call surround sound! Also, the theater is pretty small and compacted so no matter where you sit, you can still feel the magnificence of the show. We sat in the balcony. As you can tell from the picture below, our view was still excellent. The costumes of the performers were wild and crazy! The energy coming from the stage is so intense that you can feel it. Plus, SO many things are happening at once; you simply cannot absorb every minute detail going on during the show! That means you can watch it more than once and every one will be a new event.

I managed to take a wimpy number of 3 pictures of the actual show. Here is one I took near the end when they were singing "All You Need is Love", the final song of the epic program.

There were 4 huge curtains that acted as projector screens. They would bring it up or down in the duration of the show and small clips of the Beatles (or whatever else effect they added) would appear.
As the song faded, they showed in each curtain John, George, Paul, and Ringo. It overwhelmed me, even made me teary eyed, just seeing those pictures and thinking how much influence they had in this world of ours. They gave us a light when our paths were muddled with war, drugs, and misunderstanding. Through their music, our senses, our hearts, were opened.

Peace and love, everyone :)

PAULGASM

Paul McCartney.
The Cute Beatle<3
I love him so much! And it's not just because of his good looks, mind you. ;) His bass riffs, melodic voice, and charming personality also add to his magnificence. In honor of my love, here is a tribute to my soon-to-be husband. (I wish :P)

Click on the picture to see the gif!

Scanned from the AHDN album so this pic is great quality
One of my all time favorite Paul pics

Even when he's angry, he's still SO EFFING ADORABLE!!!

Nobody's perfect? I think Paul broke that rule ;)

King of Mullets!
I don't know either...
Oh my gosh.

The Night Before is one of my favorite scenes in Help!!

:D!!!

What a mustache!

*swoon*

Guess who??
Can he get any sexier?!?!?!!???!? :-O
Okay, serious Paulgasm.

Another great quality that Sir Paul has is his love for his friends and family. Here in this video, he was asked in a radio show about eight songs he would take on a desert island with him. One song he decided to bring with him was "Searchin'", an early Cavern classic. Paul started singing along with it, too! It's amazing how much he remembers during the years before their worldwide fame. ^_^
Another song he chose was "Beautiful Boy" by the one and only John Lennon. As it starts playing, you can see him try to hold back tears of joy and pain he had had with one of his best friends.

BEATLES REUNION?!?!?!?

I read in a recent article that there are rumors going around that Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr will perform TOGETHER at the 2012 Olympics next year!!!
Talk about a Beatles Reunion!
:D

But that's not all.

As you keep reading, the article says that Paul and Ringo might also appear on stage with the late George Harrison and John Lennon's sons: Dhani Harrison, and Julian and Sean Lennon!!!
Honestly, I'm about to pee in my pants.

BUT THAT'S NOT ALL!!!

I read another article mentioning that other famous British acts might perform like The Rolling Stones, QUEEN!, and the Spice Girls!

Okay, I just peed my pants.

You guys, these are just RUMORS. Please don't get carried away...I don't want your hopes crushed if this doesn't happen.
BUT I HOPE IT WILL GAAHHHHH

And I say hello.

Hello everyone & welcome to my blog! This is my first ever post out of many more to come (I hope). It’s summer time at the moment so I have a lot of free time to waste.

Time you enjoy wasting is not wasted.” -John Lennon

Just trying to follow the words of a legend. ;)
It would be very nice to meet other Beatlemaniacs out there so please comment on my posts and let us chat away! I bet you have this inner urge to do so…well, don’t ignore your conscience!
